The One Year LL.M. Program in Regulation and Governance aims to produce academic leaders for the 21st century – individuals with a firm footing in law and regulation, an interdisciplinary outlook to this vast area, cutting edge research skills, and a sub-specialization in one of three clusters, ie. infrastructure and sustainability, corporate and financial regulations, or technology law and policy.
The LL.M. Program is designed to create academic leaders who can effectively respond to changes in the legal domain, construct new theoretical frameworks that explain and critique such changes, and innovate through new pedagogical approaches. The program is designed keeping in mind that most law schools in India do not offer courses on regulation, be it in the undergraduate or postgraduate level. Thus, the program combines foundational, specialization and optional courses that provide a deep understanding of regulatory law and theory.
As the purpose of the LL.M. program is to create academic leaders in Regulation and Governance, there will be a Skillsets Lab that would help in providing practical training in teaching, research, academic writing, and course design.
